rotten tomatoes but make it class: classmate commenting

Hello hello all! I am back with another post! Today we did some peer commenting and I decided to comment on the posts of my two friends Jadelyn and Kashaneah since they were the people I am closest to in this class and I didn't feel awkward commenting about it.

Jadelyn:

I love the use of color and cinematography and how both work together to create an atmosphere completely unique. I don't think Jadelyn was thinking about this when she did her shots but her red shirt and green background created such a good contrast since they are green and red which are complimentary colors, it really adds to the atmosphere of the shot. It was my favorite shot that Jadelyn took. The second shot she did that I really liked was the over the shoulder shot, it was a very unique shot and I liked how she filmed it. The subject at the back displays some kind of rivalry, creating some uneasy tension, and since the viewers are seeing this from the main character's side, it makes you want to root for them. Overall, really nice videos.

Kashaneah:

I really loved Kash's consistent use of the greenery, no matter what type of scene she was filming, there was always some kind of greenery making all of her shots have a peaceful atmosphere no matter the angle. However, the mood changed throughout the actions and angles of the shots which I think was really clever. It kind of makes you think something peaceful is going to happen, but it's the complete opposite. I really loved her establishing shot that had the most greenery, it gives off a very calm atmosphere and the slight breeze causing the trees slightly sway just add to that peacefulness. I also really liked her close up shot of the subjects walking, it created a sense of suspense since you don't know who is walking, where they are walking to, and why. It was really nice seeing her shots.

Anyways, those were some of the shots I evaluated and commented on and I love sharing the things my friends are good at! I hope you enjoyed, till next time!

xoxo,
