Hey guys! I'm back to talk about our title sequences and what work went into it. When we were making our title sequence, we really wanted to create something that was eye-catching that matched the eerie and suspenseful tones of our scenes. So we decided to look at other films with a similar genre to our title sequence to see what they did and if we can try to emulate a similar tone, such as the joker which used big yellow text for their title sequence.
We wanted the virtual elements to feel unsettling but sleek, contradicting both of the ideas to show the different visuals and tensions in our title sequence. After talking as a group, we decided on this one.
Font Choice: We looked at multiple fonts, but all of us ended up gravitating towards very classy and very sleek. We wanted something that you can build a franchise off of, such as Star Wars. Everyone knows what the title text of Star Wars looks like, you know?
But overall, I believe that the font choice was a very good representation as to what we decided to do. Since we all had a shared vision from the start, agreeing on these elements was a smooth process. However, Hanniyah, as our graphics head, had the final say, ensuring everything remained cohesive and visually strong.
